As you probably are aware, inventory review teams are to focus on the direct greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, and SF6). Indirect greenhouse gases (e.g., SO2, CO, NOx, and NMVOCs) should not be the focus of your review, although time permitting, they may be examined.

Direct GHGs are those that directly absorb radiation and have long atmospheric lifetimes, and therefore tend to accumulate in the atmosphere. Indirect GHGs tend to have short atmospheric lifetimes and may only influence the concentration of other direct or indirect GHGs. The gases which are the focus of the UNFCCC (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, and SF6) are all direct GHGs.

Solvent and Other Product Use is in almost all cases a very minor sector, although some Parties do have emissions of CO2 and N2O from some products and medical practices.
