CASE STUDIES

Introduction

To complete your training in reviewing a Party’s reported greenhouse gas emissions from fuel combustion, the following sections guide you through two case studies:

  • the Ukrainian submission and

  • the New Zealands submission for 2006 (i.e., emissions data through to the reporting year 2004).

While working on these case studies you will prepare the fuel combustion emissions portion of a review report based on your own findings and recommendations. Because these case studies will likely be your first experience preparing an inventory review report for a Party, we will give useful hints and ask questions to test your knowledge as you progress through each of these case studies.

In the first case study we will help you each step of the way.

The second case study will be more similar to an actual review situation where you must develop your own findings and draft a review report based on them.
