The other sector-specific training modules in this course will provide you with detailed information on reviewing the methodologies that Parties’ have used for particular source and sink categories.  In addition, there are other technical references discussed in this training courses, including the 1996 Revised IPCC Guideline, the IPCC Good Practice Guidance, and the IPCC good practice guidance for LULUCF.

However, you will still have to use your own expert judgment in your investigation of methodologies that Parties have used.  Overall, Parties should be striving to use advanced methodologies, and therefore efforts should be transparently reported in their inventory submission.
