They are implied because they are based on the emissions
(or removals) and activity data entered by a Party in its CRF tables,
which must conform to the standard CRF format. These implied factors
may or may not match the emission factors used by the Party because
different categorization or more complex calculations may have been
involved in developing the original estimate. Implied emission factors
or implied carbon-stock-change factors are useful, however, as a
normalized measure of a Party’s emissions (or removals) that
is indexed by its own activity data.

Data Table for the Energy Sector. This table provides detailed information
on international bunker fuel emissions. It also includes calculated
implied emission factors.
