65. Ukraine identified the types of animal waste management systems (AWMS) that are used in the country and developed country-specific data on allocation of manure to different types of AWMS for cattle, swine, and poultry; as well as country-specific volatile solid excretion rates and EFs. Ukraine provided recalculations for the entire time series in its original 2006 submission, which resulted in a decrease of 63.8 per cent in 2003 compared to the previous submission. CH4 emissions from this category decreased by 96.9 per cent in the 1990–2004 period. The ERT welcomes the efforts made by Ukraine to improve the methodology. |
