Upon successfully completing this module you should: 1) be able to
review the relevant categories in the Energy Sector portion
of the Parties’ inventory submissions, in accordance with the
UNFCCC guidelines on reporting and review; 2) know where and how to
identify potential problems, errors, gaps or departures from the UNFCCC
guidelines and the Revised 1996 IPCC Guidelines and the IPCC Good Practice Guidance and to provide
the appropriate recommendations; 3) be able to evaluate the quality
of Energy Sector greenhouse gas (GHG) estimates submitted by a Party
and to provide both constructive criticisms and useful recommendations
where appropriate; and 4) improve your familiarity with the methods
and underlying processes used for preparing the fuel combustion portion
of Energy Sector emissions.
After your initial training, you may also wish to use this training
module as a reference in your future commitments as a reviewer. |
