The module consists of four lessons. For Lesson 1 entitled Background, you will learn about Energy Sector's emission sources and activities, the basic emission processes, its relative importance, the relationships with other categories and sectors, CRF tables and other reference materials. For Lesson 2 called Review Issues, you will examine key review issues in this sector.

For Lesson 3 called Exercises, you will work with a set of exercises which will sharpen your understanding of the background information given and specific review issues.

Prerequisite: You must complete Lesson 1 before taking Lesson 2.

For Lesson 4 named Case Studies, you will examine case studies and do the following:

• Evaluate the quality of Energy Sector estimates (e.g., methods, data) submitted by a Party.
• Assess the quality of a Party’s system used in preparing the Energy Sector portion of its national inventory submission.
• Detect if the requirement of transparency is met by a Party’s Energy Sector .

Prerequisite: You must complete Lesson 2 before taking Lesson 3.
