5.1. Sectoral background data for energy
(Table 1.A(a) –
sheets 1 to 4) – Fuel combustion activities –
Sectoral approach
Table1.A(a)
This table provides three types of information:
- aggregated activity data (fuel consumption in TJ), NCV/GCV
- implied emission factors for CO2 (t/TJ), CH4,
and N2O (kg/TJ), and
- emissions of CO2, CH4, and N2O
(Gg). This information is split into detailed emission categories,
with a secondary split consisting of five aggregate fuel
categories (liquid fuels, solid fuels, gaseous fuels, biomass,
and other fuels).
5.2. Sectoral background data for energy (Table 1.A(b)
- sheet 1) - CO2 from Fuel combustion activities - Reference
approach (IPCC Worksheet 1-1) Table 1.A(b)
This table includes the basic calculations of emissions using
the Reference Approach. It includes data on the production
of primary fuels, the other variables required for the calculation
of apparent
consumption
gasoline, and CO2 emission estimates. (This
table corresponds exactly to worksheet 1-1 of the IPCC Guidelines,
Workbook – Volume 2). |
