This course is part of the training programme to increase the competence of experts participating in the review of greenhouse gas inventories under the UNFCCC.It complements the technical courses of the training programme and it is optional.It aims to provide experts with tools to improve the work of expert review teams and facilitate cross-cultural teamwork. The course covers general aspects of working in a review team, working in cross-cultural teams, recommendations to improve teamwork in expert review teams and techniques to prevent or manage disagreements.

This course aims to improve the technical skills of experts participating in the review of GHG inventories providing general guidance and procedures, as well as specific aspects to be taken into account, for the review of GHG estimates performed using higher-tier methods and complex models (tier 3 methods).This course is targeted to lead reviewers and expert reviewers who already have experience with GHG inventories and with knowledge of the Revised 1996 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (Revised 1996 IPCC Guidelines), the IPCC Good Practice Guidance and uncertainty management in national greenhouse gas Inventories (IPCC Good Practice Guidance) and the IPCC Good Practice Guidance for Land-Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry (IPCC Good Practice Guidance for LULUCF).
