TOPIC 13: CO2 EMISSIONS FROM FOSSIL FUEL COMBUSTION

13.2. Manufacturing Industries and Construction (1.A.2)

Iron and Steel (1.A.2.a) and Non-ferrous Metals (1.A.2.b)

  • How has fuel consumption activity data been collected from these industries?
  • Has the Party reported emissions from fuel combustion at coke ovens under this category or under 1.A.1.c (Manufacturing of Solid Fuels and Other Energy Industries) as recommended by the Revised 1996 IPCC Guidelines and ensured that there is no double-counting or omission of emissions?
  • Are there residual gaseous fuels derived from the coking process that are sold to a third party?
  • Has the Party provided a detailed explanation of the interaction with the Industrial Processes Sector for each of the relevant Energy Sector categories?
  • How has the Party addressed feedstock and non-energy uses of fossil fuels?
  • How has the Party reported emissions from blast furnaces (e.g., how have blast furnace emissions been divided between fuel combustion and industrial processes, are emissions from fuels injected into blast air included, has gas been sold to a third party)?
