62. Ukraine used a tier 2 method for cattle with enhanced characterization and country-specific EFs to estimate CH4 emissions from enteric fermentation. For mature dairy and mature non-dairy cattle the EFs were 94.90 kg CH4/year and 46.15 kg CH4/year, respectively, in 2004. These values are within the range of EFs used by other reporting Parties. The methodology used is in line with the IPCC good practice guidance. For all years, data are supplied by the State Committee on Statistics. These data were crosschecked with United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) data. |
