REVIEW PROCESS

 IV. WHAT TO DO NEXT

What You Should Do Next

Now that you have agreed on a rough plan and schedule with your fellow team members, what do you do next?

BEGIN REVIEWING!
You will likely have an approach to reviewing that is based on your personal style of working. The plan you have developed with your fellow team members will necessarily take into account each of your own approaches to the work. In general, though, your objective is to assess each Party’s inventory submission for its transparency, accuracy, consistency, comparability, and completeness (TACCC).

An effective way to systematically achieve this objective is by using your expert judgment to critically investigate each Party’s performance on the four fundamentals:

  • Methods
  • Data
  • National inventory process (institutional arrangements/system)
  • Transparency (documentation)

You should ask yourself at each step of your review work how each Party is performing on these four fundamentals.

Click on any of these fundamentals in the Figure on the right to learn more about them.
